Tavern Rumble - Roguelike Deck Building Game - Tavern Rumble is an entertaining game that's halfway between a deck-building roguelike and strategy game. In this adventure, your mission is to cross a dungeon full of enemies and other dangers, using a deck of cards -which is mainly full of various types of warriors- to battle your way through.
The games in Tavern Rumble play out much like those in Slay the Spire and other similar titles. You'll have to go through a sort of labyrinth, choosing where to go along the way. Usually, you have a few options to choose from, including random event, shop, or combat. Not only that, but each time you win a battle, you’ll get a new card.
The main difference between Tavern Rumble and Slay the Spire is the game board: this game has a grid of three rows and three columns where you can play your cards. This adds a very interesting strategic element, because you'll not only have to consider which cards to play, but also where to play them.
Overall, Tavern Rumble is a great strategy game, that doesn't need excellent graphics to create unique and addictive gameplay. It's a great title to play relatively quick games of about a half hour (although they're much shorter at the beginning of the game).
